We read the caption first. Many creators write the recipe there or link to their blog, and we follow that link. If the recipe lives only in the video, we watch it: we listen to what is said and read the text on screen. Watching takes about a minute.
Check it and cook
You get a proper recipe: title, ingredients, steps and tags, with the video still linked. If the video never says how much of something to use, that amount is left blank for you to fill in.
Good to know
- Linked videos can be up to three minutes long.
- Every kitchen gets 5 video watches a month while we are in beta. Recipes found in the caption or on the creator's blog do not need a watch.
- We never guess. An amount that is not said or shown stays blank.
- The original TikTok stays linked on the recipe.
